9/24/2020 – Retrospective

What an awesome day to be a trader. This market is stellar and I’m happy to be able to participate in it. Today I ended up only playing names from my scan and I gotta say it felt glorious.

Kawhi Leonard was right…in trading the “bored” man gets paid. It’s all about letting those setups develop and then jumping in when the stars align for you. I was able to capitalize on a bunch of plays off the watch list and I’ve very happy with it. As usual my sizing will need to be improved, however I am more than happy with the singles that I hit.

I said I didn’t want to chase, and I didn’t. I saw a little opportunity and took a small starter size, then off the open added into the key levels for size. Unfortunately some of my fills for adds weren’t in the 32.30’s like I wanted, but I still kept a great average.

A key for me has been taking a bunch off the table when opportunity presents itself, so I took at a bunch in the pull and then set a stop to make sure the last little bit stayed green.

Man having a plan rocks. I’m still working on this sizing thing, so I didn’t have as much size as I would’ve liked, but this bad boy went right into my ranges and I added from there. I took a bunch off for a pt move and let the rest work. I was in between whether I should let the whole thing ride down to the low 21s, but in the past whenever I get greedy like that I like it walk away from me, soooo I’m happy with the covers. In hindsight I could’ve added more at the 22 test and fail. Overall super happy with this one and now just looking to fine tune the balance between greed and confidence.

PENN

I had my level from the scan that I was looking for and I was kind of upset off the open that I didn’t get my move and a part of me WANTED to chase it, but I left it alone (#BoredManGetsPaid). Book 10am hits and we start to get a trend that’s heading in my favor and I was able to capitalize on my plan and take a 1pt victory. Gotta love it when a plan comes together!
