Red day for me today and an unnecessary one. I started out good, but then go ahead of myself with in/out/in/out on PHUN which lead to a bunch of chop, when then lead to be overstaying once, which basically sealed my fate…only to watch it to behave as I knew it would. Then I caught some FOMO on NIO and got chopped up on it and DEFINITELY stuck around too long. At the end of the day it’s definitely not a earth shattering loss, but I would be kidding myself if I were to say that I was “ok” with it. I’m not ok with it because I did what I shouldn’t have been doing to get it. Taking a red day following rules is completely different than taking a red day because I overstayed. Just a reminder to me that laser focus is a must and there’s no room for complacency. I’m going to chalk this up to being nothing more than more reinforcement that MY survival requires ME to stick to MY rules. I’d rather miss out on a setup than jump the gun and take shots because I was antsy like I was today.
Key take away is that I need to focus on PATIENCE for a setup with good EDGE and remove patience from plays that are choppy and just not in my favor.
On days like today I need to remember what I’m capable of, which is being consistent.
Started out with a good read on PHUN. I didn’t get the ideal entry at 2.40, but I made it work and had very nice covers for a nice start. I then had a few moments of in/out after the open (should’ve let an actual edge develop) and then I overstayed a little bit from the 2.70 level and definitely piked the covers, and by then it was just done on my end. A perfect example of where a lack of patience can come back to crush your hopes and dreams of a setup. I’m really happy about how I played the first move, but the second half is for the birds.
This is a classic Shaka struggle play. I didn’t play the top of my range and I got chopped up because of it. The tape was looking heavy and I thought I was getting in on the action, and was actually up for a bit, but then it came back, so covered…tried some more into weakness AGAIN (S-M-H) and then covered at the top of the channel (it came back down to 42.80 later). Had I waited for my levels to confirm I probably would’ve ben in at 44ish and taking a nice 1.30 move.
