10/7/2020 – Retrospective

Mentally it was a little tough getting out of the funk from yesterday. Even though you know that losing is a part of the game it still sucks to have to experience it. I wanted to focus on a play with edge today.

Unfortunately one of the names I traded I was trading a thesis from someone els that I just didn’t really gel with, so I gave up some unecessary gains on WWR as you’ll see below.

WWR

I tried a long position for a potential squeeze based on the prio days action and quickly realized that this play wasn’t for me. Scratch trade on small size.

OPTT

Main trade of the day. Overall I’m happy with the way I was playing the price action, but I’m not happy that I didn’t use full size on the major pushes. I guess it comes down to me just getting familiar with everything. I also really wish I threw thors hammer of size after that 3.70 failed. Could’ve, should’ve, would’ve. I also got a little exhausted watching the tight price range around 3.12-3.15 and gave in to the pressure only to watch it continue to do what I thought.

I need to find a way to get more conviction on these fades and size up when it’s calling for it. This would be a great change in how I’m piecing these things together.
