Overall great opportunities, but I just didn’t hit the mark today like I should have, so definitely something to take inventory of.
What started out as a green day turned red and it’s all one me and taking a play on a name that I had no business getting involved in…..the infamous $JKS. I swear this ticker is going to be the end of me..lol. While I’m red on the day, I only gave back 1/2 of yesterdays profits, so overall this is a big win for me as in the past I’ve struggled with red days being massive and going on tilt. I hasn’t been until the last couple of months that I feel like I’ve gotten that under control and it’s a constant battle to make sure that I’m in control of my emotions.
One great thing is that I’m feeling more comfortable managing a position that isn’t going exactly how I want it. This is much easier said than done, but I do feel like I’m getting a handle on knowing where I’m at in a trade, and where I can look to responsible exit a position instead of piking out like crazy, which I’m known to do.
DPW
This was one of my cleanest trades that I’ve had in my opinion. My only regret is that I got to more than 1/3 size here. Overall I was able to get the meat of the move and I managed to miss the pushed back to 2.40 before they dumped a ton of shares, so that was a little disappointing, but overall I’m happy with the thesis and execution that I had on this one….I just need to work on maximizing my size when these setups come around
JKS
So what started out as an ok prospect with small size (1/3 or yesterdays dabble size) still ended up being enough to cause a little headache, so I covered when I somehow let this thing go 2 points on the starter size. We got a break through a key level and I started in on a key level however it pushed back on me and I didn’t size down. A big key here is that I need to size down quickly when things aren’t lining up like i want…even with starter size. It’s much better to take a couple of small .10 moves here and there on little to no size than letting it go a buck or two against me….granted I wasn’t near full size, but it’s still an unnecessary headache that I took on and ended up babysitting the most illiquid liquid (you had to be in the tape and l2 to understand what I mean by that) name.
tldr; I got in and didn’t get out when things weren’t right and I wasted time and money on this.
NIO
what a setup and what an EPIC fumble by me on this. I had about a 21.75 average with some really good size and my goal was to cover in the 21.30s….but I managed to cover half in the 21.60’s and the rest for break even due to need to watch the iladvised $JKS position that I shouldn’t have been in. Needless to say this bad boy delivered and I sat on the sidelines and watched it fade to glory without me.
Definitely disappointed in myself for MINIMIZING this awesome gift.

A very nice setup, but I was a little bit too early to the party and sizing down put me in a different mental state than I needed to be (not bent, but just unnecessarily a little in the red ). Given the setup I should’ve been more convicted to wait for $3 to test over/under and then go from there and I would’ve missed the “front-size” shenanigans that always get me.
After the push back to 3 and the dump I thought we were going to low 2.60s, so I got a little too patient and ended up covering in the high 2.70s when it came back around.
Another great setup that I just fumbled, so next time around I’m sticking to my guns on my levels (had a similar kind of idea for $SLDB today vs $4 per my watchlist).
